Up to 80% of adult dogs and cats have dental disease. Prevention and treatment of periodontal disease will prolong your pet’s life significantly. People go to the dentist every six months for a reason. The same reasons apply to our pets. Adobe Animal Hospital provides comprehensive dentistry and oral surgery for your pet.
We use state of the art equipment and digital dental xrays are routinely performed. Just as in human dentistry, dental xrays are critical for providing proper dental care, since over half the tooth is hidden below the gumline.
Our Registered Veterinary Technicians are fully trained to the highest standards for dental cleaning techniques and radiography. All additonal oral procedures and extractions are performed by the veterinarian to ensure the safest, best care for your pet.
Adobe Animal Hospital is a full service veterinary hospital, with in-house laboratory testing, digital xray, ecg, ultrasound and more on site. We also work with local specialists to bring you the best care for your best friend.
Our doctors and staff love a dermatology challenge! Skin and ear problems are the most common reason that pets, particularly dogs, visit us here at Adobe Animal Hospital. By spending time on a thorough medical history and physical exam, along with appropriate diagnostic testing, we can help you restore your itchy friend to comfort and good health.
We understand that surgery can be a scary experience for you and your pet. We give the highest priority to ensure your pet’s surgical procedure is as comfortable and stress-free as possible. Our veterinarians perform a wide array of surgeries on a regular basis. We also have access to veterinary specialists who can perform complex surgeries at our hospital, or on a referral basis.
Degenerative joint disease is the number one cause of chronic pain in dogs and cats. The condition is the result of long-term stresses on a joint, either resulting from an old injury or from natural development of a poorly conformed joint. While surgery may be able to help in some situations, most of the time the degeneration of the joint cannot be reversed and treatment focuses on preventing progression of damage.
Arthritis pain is best addressed by what is called a multi-modal approach, meaning that several approaches combined yield better results than any single therapy.
Medications and nutritional supplements that we commonly use for arthritis pain include glucosamine/chondroitin, omega 3 fatty acids, non-steriodal anti-inflammatory drugs, Adequan, and a variety of other non-NSAID pain relievers.
